Okay, this list is entirely subjective, so deal with it, but when I think of the greatest players ever to come through the Gators football program these are the guys that come to mind for me. Certainly love to hear anyone else's feedback on this...

1. Emmitt Smith. Can't possibly go against this one. While he was certainly a great player at Florida, the excellence achived in the NFL (not to mention his amazing work on Dancing with the Stars) has to cement him at the top of anyone's list.

2. Jack Youngblood. I remember reading a book that covered all the early Super Bowls when I was a kid and I remember reading about JY playing with a broken leg. Aside from being an absolute animal in college and the NFL, that alone puts him near the top of the list in my book.

3. Tim Tebow. Dude just won. What else can you say? If it comes down to winning the guy got it done in college, and thus far, despite his detractors, has been successful in the NFL.

4. Danny Wuerffel. Much like Tebow, Wuerffel was never really seen as much of an NFL prospect, but the guy was all Al Davis "just win, baby". Danny led Florida to their first national championship in 1996 under the direction of...

5. Steve Spurrier. For all of the vitriol aimed at the guy over the years as a coach, it can be easy to forget that he was a heckuva quarterback during his time with the Gators, winning the Heisman Trophy in 1966.
